There's magic in the air this evening
Magic in the air
The world is at her best, you know
When people love and care
The promise of excitment
is one the night will keep
After all there's only one more sleep till Christmas
The world has gotta smile today
The world has gotta glow
There's no such thing as strangers
When a stranger says "Hello"
And everyone is family, we're havin' so much fun
After all there's only one more sleep till Christmas
'Tis the season to be jolly and joyous
With a burst of pleasure we feel it all right
It's a season when the Saints can employ us
To spread the news about peace and to keep love alive
There's somethin' in the wind today
that's good for everyone
Yes, faith is our hearts today, we're shinin' like the sun
And everyone can feel it, the feelin's runnin' deep
After all there's only one more sleep till Christmas
After all there's only one more sleep till Christmas day

'tis the season to be jolly and joyous. fa la la.
whew. The past week has been a doozy!
Monday through Wednesday I went to St. Louis to visit some friends from school. We pretty much had the best time ever. We played Mario Kart by the hours, and goofed off, really.
Nathan and Lindsey (my brother and his girlfriend) are flying in from NYC tomorrow morning. My parents and I have been getting the house ready for them. I'm excited for them to get here. It doesn't feel like Christmas at my house until it's filled with people coming and going all the time.
Okay, so my Christmas Break goals list has changed around a bit.
I accomplished Mario Land 2 on gameboy. That went pretty quickly. And I've watched the 3rd Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. And I'm on disc 4 of 24, season 4. Too many fours.
I'm adding Turn of the Screw by Henry James to the list. I've been meaning to read it, and it's not very long.

simply, having a wonderful christmas time
Finals are over. School is over, well, for the semester. I don't really feel like writing about a wrap up of the semester.
I got home last night and ate a gingerbread cookie still warm from the oven. Then I dipped buckeyes with my parents, and two of my friends came over and we sat by the fire and caught up on our semesters. That's why I love Christmas time. Fires, cookies, old friends.
Apparently at my house I'm the Director of Decorations. When I got home last night there were no decorations, except for a half put together christmas tree with one strand of lights on it. So today I put the whole tree together, put the lights on and tinsel. Then I wrapped garland around our stairwell and put lights on the outside bushes. Nothing gets done around here without me. -said all in good spirits.
I'm really excited about Monday. I'm going to St. Louis for three days to hang out with some friends from school. Can't get enough of them apparently.
Goals for break:
-read Crime and Punishment and The Brother's Karamazov both by Dostoyevsky.
-Finish season 4 of 24.
-watch season 1 of Pushing Daisies
-watch all three Lord of the Rings
-beat Mario Land 2 on gameboy
As for now, I'm headed for my brother's house to watch Christmas movies.

Ah, distinctly I remember, it was in the bleak December
Happy December guys. Twenty two days 'til Christmas.
My mom and dad made me an advent calendar. It's on a poster board and each day there's a poem written on the door, and I have to solve it to find out whose picture is underneath. For example, today's was:
"Ive known you since you were a little tyke,
hurry home! My name is..."
I opened it up and it was a picture of my neighbor, Mike. He and his wife are Scottish so the picture is of him in his kilt. Yes, he wears a kilt occasionally. It's pretty awesome. The whole calendar is awesome.
I don't have much left to do for the semester. I think I'm going to try to finish it all tomorrow since I don't have class on Thursdays. I'm ready for break. I'm ready to watch Christmas movies and read books.
Also, MSN has an article this week titled "Top 11 Lamest Blogs of All Time" I was half expecting mine to be on there, but realized I shouldn't give myself that much credit. The first half of the article is pretty funny, you should check it out.
